Schilling records 3,000th K and Boston records another loss…time to turn out the lights on the dismal Red Sox

Is it time to turn out the lights on Boston? It sure looks that way. Besides lossing 8 of their last 10 games they have seerious pressing issues with their two stars out of the lineup. There is no doubt the 5 game sweep by the Yankees a couple of weeks back took the wind out of the sails of the Red Sox. Speaking of the Yankees they are only 5 and 5 in their last ten games but it really doesn’t matter as they are now up 8 over the Red Sox. The Yankees will need to play better going into the playoffs or it will be turn out the lights time for them as well. The White Sox just won’t give up and they shouldn’t as the defending World Champs. They are only 4.5 games behind the Tigers. Oakland is on overdrive now and should have no problem winning their divison. The only question that remains is: can they breakout in the playoffs and make a run to the World Series? Mets are on overdrive and just coasting into the playoffs with possibly the best team of all. Just when I thought the Reds would overtake the Cards the Cards pull away for a 4.5 game lead in their divison. The Giants and San Diego still have hopes but my money is on the Dodgers who once again have won 5 in a row. Yak at you tomorrow.
